Competitor and running technique coach

From the age of 45, Keith Bateman’s running times improved dramatically, culminating in numerous State, National, and World age-group records. Remarkably, the records he set in the 55–59 age group surpassed those he set in the 45–49 age group.

Keith’s technique-change lessons, combined with Heidi’s Strengthening and Rehabilitation programs, form the core of the Older Yet Faster method. He also contributes a dedicated chapter for coaches looking to help their athletes transition to better technique.

In 2020, Keith stopped offering in-person technique coaching and school team training. He now focuses on online coaching via the Facebook Help Group and has resumed full-time training in pursuit of new age-group records.

Heidi Jones

Heidi Jones, Bondi podiatrist

Bondi podiatrist Heidi Jones

Competitor and podiatrist
(Dip. Pod., MA. Pod. A)

Heidi Jones is a lifelong runner who became a podiatrist to better understand and treat running injuries. Since graduating in 1996, she has operated her own clinic in Bondi: Feet On The Move.

After traditional orthotics failed to meet her expectations, Heidi developed a foot-strengthening program as an alternative. It has since proven highly effective for runners, non-runners, and children alike.

Her strengthening program, combined with Keith’s technique-change system forms the foundation of the Older Yet Faster approach. She also contributes a chapter aimed at podiatrists and healthcare professionals, providing detailed guidance on implementing her methods.

Feet On The Move

  • 19 years (to 2016) as Senior Podiatrist at St Vincent’s Hospital High Risk Foot Clinic, specialising in diabetic podiatry.
  • General foot care: corns, calluses, warts, nail care, etc.
  • Biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, and treatment of running injuries — without orthotics.
